Amanda

Hi everyone! I hope everyone in the Northeast is staying warm and safe!

Yesterday, I got to meet Amanda. She is the daughter of a friend of mine. We met up for a headshot session. It was a great session! We had a lot of fun and took a lot of pictures! It will be hard to edit them down because they all look beautiful. As you can see, the subject makes the pictures! I could immediately tell that Amanda was totally cool with the camera and is a lot of fun to be around (just like her dad). After the shoot she was on her way to audition for the Pittsburgh CLO. I will have to find out how she did! I am betting that she did fantastic!!

Here are a few quickies for the web. Good Luck Amanda!! Talk to you soon. Thank you!

Polar Bears!

This past weekend we headed out towards Philadelphia to visit my sister and her family. Her husband, Mark, plans an annual Polar Bear Plunge on the coldest weekend of the year. We have been fortunate with the weather this year, but January 20th was pretty darn cold! It was 32 degrees with water temperature of 38! Mark had a list of things he had to prepare for the day. They went all out. Tons of fantastic food, Mark's homeade beers (which are out of this world!) and more importantly, lots of family and friends. Mark even brewed a special beer for the Polar Bear Plunge. 'Polar Bear Ice Bock' You can see the shirts in the slideshow.

What made the Plunge even better was that Bridget and Damon both did it! I was taking pictures, so I could not possibly jump in! (hahahha) It was great! Bridget said it was pure adrenaline and Damon said 'It Hurt!'. They both said they would be back next year. I am going to have to bring another photographer so I can jump in too. Check out these few pics and then click here to watch the slideshow.

I love the intesity in Bridget's Face. Just the contrast of the winter clothes and her in a Bathing Suit is priceless!

Off We go

Wow this is cold!

Get me outta here!!!

Prayers for the Sarniak Family

You all remember this post from last month about the Sarniak Family. Their son, Christian, is having some really tough times right now, so I wanted to post here and ask all of you to keep him and the Sarniak family in your prayers. Christian has touched so many peoples lives in such a positive way. The strength of their family is amazing.

Our life here, in this world, is so short. It is just a blip on the radar, when you consider the grand scheme of things. Situations such as this always put things into perspective for me. Sometimes, we just 'move' through life instead of living and enjoying it. I know I am guilty of that. Take time today to hug your kids, spouse, mother, father, grandparents or friends. Enjoy them. Enjoy the things you have been blessed with. Lend a helping hand to someone in need. Give a little of your time, energy and soul to someone that needs lifted up. It is a wonderful feeling to know that you made a difference in someone's life.

And when you say your prayers today, please keep the Sarniak family in your heart.

Here is one of my favorite passages: 'And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.' Romans 8:28

God Bless you Christian!

Happy New Year and Engagement Shoot

Happy New Year!!! I hope you all had a Happy and Safe time on New Years Eve '07. I can't believe another year has come and gone. Though I must say that overall, 2006 was a wonderful year. I know 2007 is going to be even better! We have been working so hard on our plans for 2007. We can't wait to get everything going and implemented. Stay tuned for some changes from us!

Saturday I met Christie and Jason for an engagement shoot. We met at Station Square and ended up hitting a couple more locations as well. The West End Overlook and Market Square. They are such a fun couple! They were not camera shy at all, which is always a bonus! Hanging out with them for a few hours showed me how much in love they are. They made each other laugh (me too!) the entire shoot. They are a joy to be around and cannot wait for their Fall '07 wedding. Here are a few pics from the shoot.
