Stephani and Jayson

We had such a busy weekend! On Sunday, we had a family shoot in the morning (I will post about this later) and in the afternoon we had an Engagement Session with Stephani and Jayson. We decided that a park-like atmosphere was best for them and by the images, I am assured that we made the right choice! They are such a beautiful couple and we are looking forward to their June 24, 2006 wedding!

Thanks guys!!

Here are a few from the session:

May 20, 2006

Yesterday, Bridget and I had the privilege of shooting the wedding of Erin to John. WOW! What an amazing couple. First off, Erin's smile is electric. All day long, her smile was present. I don't know if I have ever seen such sincere joy in a bride's eyes. She was so calm and so cool. Erin was truly an exquisite bride. She wore a beautiful gown by Justin Alexander. We started the day at Erin's parent's house, who are incredible hosts. They were so easy to work with and we all had so much fun! The rain finally stopped for a day, which was a blessing. The ceremony was held at Heinz Chapel in Oakland. The reception that followed was held at the Frick Art Museum. This is a very classy venue. They had the dinner and dancing in white tent outside of the building. It was so intimate and warm. The entertainment for the evening, was provided by Rick Purcell featuring Pittsburgh's legendary Shari Richards! It was such a nice change to see a live performing band at a reception. It added so much life to the celebration! I highly recommend checking them out, if you are in the market for a live performer!

Thank you to Erin and John for allowing us to document your wedding day! You two are awesome... Thank you!!

Here are some images from the day:

Dozer

Dozer. The Doze. Dozey. Real Name = 'Bud the Bulldozer'. Dozer is our family Dog. He is a Boxer. My son, Damon, named him Dozer when we purchased him in May of 1999. Dozer just turned 7 in March. He is such a wonderful dog. He is so much fun! Most importantly Boxers are known to be Great with Children! Dozer is SOOOO Great with kids! All of our boys love him and he loves them back. They all have prodded and poked him, pulled his ears and have ridden him like a bull. Dozer has never snapped, growled or scratched. He just takes it. We love Dozer. I saw him today, soaking up the rays in his favorite place... The front entry way to our home. During the Spring - Fall, we leave the front door open all day to let the light shine in! On a typical day, you can find our buddy Dozer (sound asleep) enjoying the heat from the sun.

Check him out.

Celebrating 90 Years!

This past weekend, I had the honor of shooting a suprise birthday party for a beautiful lady celebrating 90 years! Grandma Shields has more life than ever and is so blessed to have such a wonderful family. She was totally suprised and had so much fun. She made out on presents too! I really enjoyed myself throughout the day. I did a few family portraits, but most of the time I was just standing back with my 70-200 lense capturing candids. Here are a few shots from the day.

David and Brayden

I was editing some pictures from this past weekend and came across one of Brayden and me. I figured I would post it here because there are always so few pictures of me. :-) My boys mean the world to me. They are what keep me motivated on a daily basis, to be a better father and husband. Watching each one of them grow is the highlight of my life. Brayden is just about to turn 1. I really can't believe how fast this year went by. It truly amazes me. I will be celebrating a 30-something birthday this month too! So, Happy Birthday to us!

Kids

As you can probably tell from our work and our blog entries, we LOVE kids! Not only our kids, but all kids. We have a special connection with kids and love to interact with them. Every child is unique in his/her own way. That uniqueness is what brings joy to us on a daily basis. Nothing warms the heart more to me than to see a child laugh and being happy. This past weekend I took the camera out and grabbed some portraits of some of the neighborhood kids. I have more to post but need the parents' permission first. Here are 3 beautiful kids.

The Invitation

My previous post mentioned an invitation to Brayden's first birthday party. I designed the invitations and had my lab print them on a Press Printing machine (this means both sides of paper can be printed upon), using water color paper. The cards are 4"x5.5" vertical folds. They were a HUGE hit! The quality of the products are amazing. We have decided to use these products within our business for invitations, thank you card and announcements. So if you choose to use our services, please inquire about these types of cards. Everyone will love them!

It is hard to get a feel for the actual product, on this blog, but here is the design I used for Brayden's invite, so you can get an idea of what can be created.

It's May

Bridget and I are planning Brayden's first birthday party. We wanted to create an invitation that showed an image of him for each month of his life. So, to get the 12 months worth of images, I had to grab a couple shots in May of '06. Yesterday he was playing on the deck and stuck his little hands in a tomatoe pot, grabbed some dirt and proceeded to put it in his mouth! Here is a priceless reaction to the nasty taste. Needless to say he was disappointed!! This is the image I chose for May of '06. I will post the Invitation once it goes out.

YUK!
